PreSens Precision Sensing GmbH is a university spin off and was founded in 1997. During the last more than 15 years PreSens became one of the leading companies in the field of fiber optic sensor technology. From its principal office in Regensburg the company is distributing its products and services worldwide. Starting from the niche market of microsensors the company is now providing the whole range of chemical optical sensor products, from non-invasive sensor spots to 2D imaging devices. It delivers measurement systems for end users in bioprocess control, biological & environmental research, food & beverage industry, and many other industry sectors. Furthermore, PreSens develops and manufactures optoelectronic OEM sensor components for medical equipment and process control, and offers sensor engineering services, creating advanced custom sensor designs and solutions. Modern fully equipped chemical laboratories, electronic workshops and production facilities are available to PreSens and to ensure highest quality standards the quality management system is certified to EN ISO 13485 and ISO 9001. A team of experts in chemistry, electronic engineering, and life science research develops prototypes and manufactures innovative measurement systems so the product range can constantly be expanded. Main tasks in the REACH project
1) To develop a port to the DO and pH sensor;
2) To make the chemical optical pH sensor resistant to irradiation;
3) to develop an integrated device to read out the pH and DO sensor;
4) to validate the complete sensor system.
